Sabirabad: The remains of Vugar Salim oghlu Babayev, a serviceman who went missing during the First Karabakh War, have been handed over to his family in the Goychay district. A farewell ceremony for the fallen soldier was first held in the Garabaggol village of Goychay.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ceremony was attended by village residents, family members of the martyr, war veterans, representatives of the district Executive Authority, law enforcement officials, and members of the public. Following the funeral prayer, the remains of the missing martyr were laid to rest at the Martyrs' Alley in the city of Goychay, and prayers were offered.
Vugar Babayev went missing in 1994 during fighting in the village of Yanshag in the Kalbajar district.
