Sugovushan:The Great Return Programme has facilitated the resettlement of 180 families, totaling 591 individuals, to Sugovushan. A secondary school with a capacity of 144 students has been overhauled and is operational, while the Sugovushan-1 and Sugovushan-2 Small Hydroelectric Power Plants have been reconstructed to enhance electricity supply. Additionally, a new mosque has been built and commissioned.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, in Talysh village, 20 individual houses have been restored, allowing for the return of 20 families, comprising 90 people. The village has seen the restoration and reconstruction of a school with a capacity of 78 students, a kindergarten, an administrative building, public facilities, and catering establishments. The resettlement process under the Great Return Programme continues in stages.
Modern infrastructure in both villages includes internal roads, improved streets, and facilities for uninterrupted electricity, drinking water, natural gas, and high-speed internet. Medical points have been established to ensure healthcare access. In Sugovushan, social and public infrastructure projects have been implemented, including a new park around the Sugovushan Reservoir, enhancing the village's tourism potential.
In Talysh, a school, kindergarten, and various social facilities have been established. The comprehensive restoration efforts in Sugovushan and Talysh address housing, road infrastructure, and sectors such as education, healthcare, energy, communications, and tourism.
These developments follow the liberation of Sugovushan and Talysh villages from occupation six years ago, with the Azerbaijani Army reclaiming these strategically important locations on October 3, 2020, during the Patriotic War.
