Masazir: A major fire erupted in a private residential house in the Masazir settlement of the Absheron district, as reported by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations’ Press Service to APA. The incident resulted in the tragic loss of two lives.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the fire consumed the wooden structures of a two-story private house, with each floor measuring 40 square meters. Additionally, the roof of an adjacent two-story house, also covering an area of 40 square meters, was destroyed.

Firefighting equipment and personnel from the Ministry were promptly dispatched to the location. Their swift response contained the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby houses.

During search operations at the site, the bodies of two individuals were discovered and handed over to the relevant authorities for further procedures.

The Ministry reported that both floors of the second house and other adjacent buildings were successfully protected from the fire. An investigation into the cause of
the incident is currently underway.
