Residents of Persian Gulf Countries Can Obtain Visas at Baku Airport Without Escort

Baku: Residents of Persian Gulf countries can now obtain visas at Baku Airport without requiring an escort. Citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, and the Kingdom of Bahrain are allowed to enter Azerbaijan visa-free up to three times within one year, with each stay lasting up to 30 days. For a fourth entry, these citizens must present a valid visa.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, tourism expert Jafar Garayev, CEO of Zakher Travel Group of Companies, highlighted that residents of these countries can secure their visas directly at Baku Airport. He noted that the passport and residence permit must be valid for more than six months. Mobile versions of these documents are not accepted.

Garayev also mentioned that citizens of Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan are required to apply for a visa at the Azerbaijani Embassy, rather than obtaining it upon arrival.
