Results of Elections in Georgian Regions Show Strong Support for Ruling Party

TBILISI: The ruling party "Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia" secured a decisive victory in recent parliamentary elections held in Georgia, with significant support from regions populated by Azerbaijanis. The party received overwhelming votes in key areas, demonstrating its continued influence and popularity. According to Trend News Agency, Azerbaijani communities in Georgia actively participated in the elections, contributing to the ruling party's success. In Marneuli, a region with a substantial Azerbaijani population, 34,328 individuals, accounting for 79.601 percent of the votes, supported the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia party. Similarly, in Bolnisi, another region with strong Azerbaijani representation, 20,788 voters, or 81.426 percent, cast their ballots in favor of the ruling party. Additionally, in the Dmanisi region, 9,360 people participated in the voting process, with the ruling party securing 75.32 percent of the votes. These results underscore the significant role of Azerbaijani voter s in shaping the political landscape of Georgia and the strong backing for the current government in these areas.
