The capacity for sea transshipment of Russian oil in the southern direction can be increased by more than 15 million tons, President of Transneft Nikolay Tokarev said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel. "Today, the task of expanding the transport potential of this southern port is being solved. The port is ready for such a task," he added. At the end of last year, Tokarev said that the Novorossiysk Seaport had increased the export capacity of low-sulfur oil to 40 million tons, and the second stage of expansion of the port's capacity to 52 million tons had begun.
