Russia to Share Bomb Shelter Locations on State Services Website

Moscow: Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has unveiled a new feature on the Gosuslugi portal that will enable citizens to access information about the nearest bomb shelters and evacuation points. This initiative, announced on June 4, 2025, aims to enhance public safety by providing easy access to crucial emergency information.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the new feature will be accessible through a dedicated tab in the personal accounts on the Gosuslugi portal. It will inform users of their designated shelter and the appropriate action to take during emergencies. The system has undergone testing in the Kursk and Belgorod regions and is expected to be available nationwide by the end of 2025. This expansion is part of a collaborative effort between EMERCOM and the Ministry of Digital Development.

Sergey Starovoitov, the deputy director of the civil defense and population protection department of EMERCOM, stated that regional authorities are actively populating the database to ensure that the information provided is accurate and reliable.
