Russian Foreign Ministry Criticizes International Election Observers in Azerbaijan

MOSCOW – The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared that international organizations’ assessments of the recent parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are biased. This statement was issued following the snap elections held on September 1, where the New Azerbaijan Party led by President Ilham Aliyev emerged victorious.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Russian Foreign Ministry criticized the stance of Western-aligned international observers, arguing that their evaluations do not reflect the true nature of the electoral process in Azerbaijan. The Ministry further expressed congratulations to Azerbaijan on the successful organization of the elections, highlighting the expression of the national will.
