The 32-year-old Rwanda international is expected to lead the attack for Azerbaijani side Sabah as they face off against the Red Devils at Old Trafford in the opening round of this year's Champions League league phase.

According to BBC, Mickels has been eagerly anticipating this moment. "I watch every [Man Utd] game when I can," he shared with the BBC World Service, describing the fixture draw as the best possible outcome for Sabah. The match at Old Trafford is particularly significant for Mickels, given Manchester United's stature as one of the world's most renowned football clubs.

Mickels is currently in his second stint with Sabah, a club based in Masazir, approximately 16 kilometers north-west of Azerbaijan's capital, Baku.
