Baku: Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova attended the Conference of Speakers of National and Regional Parliaments in Midrand during her visit to the Republic of South Africa on July 31, as reported by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, in her address, Sahiba Gafarova discussed the significant changes occurring in the current international relations system, highlighting ongoing conflicts, economic disparities, and the challenges of climate change. She underscored that parliaments must engage in global decision-making processes, especially as confidence in international institutions is under strain. Gafarova expressed support for the Pan-African Parliament and African parliaments, emphasizing the need for Africa to have a stronger influence and a more proactive role in the international relations framework.
