Schoolchildren Hospitalized in Ganja After Eating Doner

Ganja: A group of schoolchildren in Ganja suffered food poisoning after consuming doner, APA reports. The incident took place yesterday at approximately 21:30, resulting in the hospitalization of eight children at the Infectious Diseases Department of the Abbas Sahhat Hospital, which is part of the Ganja City United Hospital.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the affected children, comprising five boys and three girls, were diagnosed with ‘gastroenteritis and colitis of unspecified origin’. They received necessary medical treatment, and their condition was deemed satisfactory, allowing them to be discharged for outpatient care.

The children have been identified as F. Ismayilov, X. Taghiyeva, N. Mammadova, A. Mammadzade, H. Huseynli, all born in 2015, and A. Zeynalov, T. Jafarzade, and A. Mirzayev, born in 2014. These students attend Secondary School No. 16 named after M. S. Vazeh in Ganja.

Relevant authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident to determine the cause and prevent future occurrences.
