Nakhchivan: The 2nd Azerbaijan-Trkiye Regional Economic Forum, attended by officials and businesspersons, successfully concluded in Nakhchivan.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event commenced with participants paying homage to National Leader Heydar Aliyev by laying flowers at his monument. Co-organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and KOBIA, with support from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations, and several Turkish organizations, the forum witnessed the participation of over 200 businesspersons and representatives from Azerbaijan and Trkiye. The gathering aimed to enhance business relations, highlight potential business opportunities, and expand bilateral economic ties, particularly with Trkiye’s border regions.
The forum began with the national anthems of both countries and a commemoration of National Leaders Heydar Aliyev and Mustafa Kemal Atatrk, as well as a tribute to martyrs. Key figures such as Jeyhun Jalilov, Asip Kaya, Zamin Aliyev, Kazim Huseynaliyev, Orkhan Mammadov, and Vugar Abbasov delivered speeches focusing on the strategic partnership and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Trkiye. They underscored the importance of entrepreneur collaboration and investment opportunities.
The event included a presentation on Nakhchivan’s investment and trade potential, alongside B2B meetings, and provided Turkish businesspersons with the opportunity to view local enterprises in operation.
