Jabrayil:A second landmine explosion occurred on October 8, 2026, in the village of Daghmashanli within the liberated Jabrayil district, resulting in injuries to two individuals.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the incident involved Ashraf Gahramanov, born in 1966, who entered a mine-affected area where his son, Orkhan Ashraf oglu Gahramanov, had previously encountered a mine. Ashraf Gahramanov fell victim to an anti-personnel mine, sustaining injuries.
Orkhan Gahramanov, born in 2000, was also injured earlier while grazing livestock in the same uncleared minefield. He was hospitalized at Fuzuli District Central Hospital at approximately 15:10 on the same day, suffering from traumatic amputations and severe lacerations. He underwent surgery and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit with his condition assessed as serious.
The Jabrayil District Prosecutor's Office is investigating both incidents. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action have reiterated warnings for citizens to adhere to safety protocols, pay attention to mine warning signs, and avoid entering unfamiliar or fenced-off areas.
