Secretary General: Meeting Held in Baku Marks the Beginning of a New Stage in the History of the Turkic World

Baku: This meeting marks the beginning of a new stage in the history of the Turkic world, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev said during his speech at the "Turkic World Week" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Omuraliev emphasized the importance of strengthening ties among Turkic states and peoples, enhancing mutual cooperation, and preserving common values. He highlighted that the foundation of this unity lies in the political will of the Turkic states, mutual respect among peoples, and shared cultural heritage.

Omuraliev pointed out that the ideas presented at the Turkological Congress a century ago continue to hold significance today. He urged the Turkic world to draw inspiration from those ideas to further develop scientific, cultural, and humanitarian ties. He expressed confidence that these meetings will contribute to strengthening friendship, cooperation, and unity among the Turkic states and peoples.
