Baku: Within the framework of the 2nd phase of the European Union’s ‘EU4Energy’ project, a seminar for media representatives was held on October 23-24. The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Energy Market Regulatory Agency (EMRA), and the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER).

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, participants at the media seminar received detailed information on the role of the media in informing the public and increasing transparency in energy policies. Local and international experts shared their experiences with the main challenges faced by the energy sector and discussed measures planned to address these challenges.

The seminar delved into essential aspects of energy regulation, including the structure of the energy sector, tariff setting, service quality, and studies on energy efficiency. It also highlighted the EU’s best practices in these areas.

The event underscored the necessity of close cooperation between energy experts, government agencies, and the media to ensure effective communication. Emil Ismayilov, an employee of APA-Economics, was among the participants at the seminar.

At the conclusion of the seminar, certificates were presented to the media representatives, acknowledging their participation.
