Baku: The 20th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States is set to commence in Baku on June 22, as reported by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis to APA. The session promises to gather parliamentary delegations from over 40 countries, including more than 10 parliamentary speakers and representatives from 10 international organizations, with discussions centered around 'Promoting sustainable and inclusive economic development in OIC member states through parliamentary cooperation.' The event is expected to host over 400 delegates.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the session will include a series of meetings involving the General Committee, Executive Committee, and the Association of Secretaries General. Additionally, committees focused on Political Affairs and International Relations, Economic Affairs and Environment, Legal and Cultural Affairs, Dialogue of Civilizations and Religions, Human Rights, Women and Family Affairs, and other organizational structures will convene. Participants will also articulate their positions on the documents listed on the agenda.
The session is scheduled to conclude on June 25.
