Shavkat Mirziyoyev Highlights Unified Diplomatic Voice of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan

Baku: Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan speak with one voice on the international stage, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated in a joint press statement with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA's special correspondent reports. This collaboration marks a significant step in international relations, emphasizing a unified diplomatic approach between the two nations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan has transcended the bilateral agenda. A pivotal decision was made regarding Azerbaijan's inclusion in the Format of Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia. This move is seen as a crucial step towards establishing a common space for trust, good-neighborliness, and interaction between Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

The two countries are committed to speaking with one voice on the international stage, consistently coordinating their diplomatic activities. This cooperation strengthens their allied dialogue on key international platforms such as the UN, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Turkic States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the CIS. The depth of discussions between the two nations highlights the broad scope and momentum of Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan political cooperation.

Following productive negotiations, a significant package of agreements was approved, covering vital areas of cooperation. President Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to his counterpart, Mikhail Gaydarovich, for his steadfast support and firm position on various proposals.
