Shusha: The 4th Shusha Global Media Forum titled "The Mission of Media in Promoting Peace: Restoring Truth and Rebuilding Trust" will be held on July 13-14, APA reports, citing the Media Development Agency (MEDIA).
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Shusha Global Media Forum, which has become a significant international platform, will focus this year on the theme "The Mission of Media in Promoting Peace: Restoring Truth and Rebuilding Trust." The forum will gather nearly 160 media professionals, experts, and officials from 54 countries, with participation from about 30 international news agencies and over 60 leading media organizations. Additionally, representatives from nearly 10 international organizations and companies are expected to attend.
The event will feature panel discussions, one-on-one meetings, and interactive sessions on topics such as the role of media in peacebuilding, cross-border media dialogue, restoration of public trust, international cooperation against disinformation, creating a secure information environment on digital platforms, and media ethics in the era of artificial intelligence. By focusing on responsible media practices, the forum aims to contribute to restoring trust between societies, strengthening digital solidarity, and promoting peace.
Since its inception, the Shusha Global Media Forum has addressed various themes, starting with the 2023 session on "New Media in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution" and continuing with topics like "Unmasking False Narratives: Confronting Disinformation" in 2024 and "Digital Transitions: Strengthening Information and Media Resilience in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" in 2025. These events have collectively drawn nearly 600 media representatives, experts, and officials from 81 countries, solidifying the forum's reputation as a leading venue for global media discourse.
