Baku: The Roadmap for 2025 on enhancing communication and improvements in the International Trade indicator of the World Bank Group’s Business Ready report has received approval from the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings, APA-Economics reports. The roadmap outlines plans to advance the application of a single transit cargo document and simplified customs procedures for cargo traversing the Middle Corridor.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, discussions are set to be initiated with relevant entities in countries situated along the corridor. These discussions aim to facilitate the application of the single transit cargo document and simplified customs procedures. Following these discussions, proposals will be prepared based on the gathered results and submitted to the Commission for consideration.
Additionally, the roadmap includes plans to establish a state website or information portal within the year. This platform will provide a comprehensive explanation of international trade procedures and rules. The roadmap also calls for research into the potential signing of free or preferential trade agreements, with the results to be reported back to the Commission.
The International Trade Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings is led by First Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Elnur Aliyev.
