Baku: SOCAR produced 7.1 million tons of oil and 7.8 billion cubic meters of gas in 2025. In 2025, the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) executed 66,000 meters of drilling operations. Fields operated independently or with SOCAR as the primary shareholder yielded significant quantities of oil and natural gas, contributing to the nation's energy outputs.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the company's overall natural gas production saw a 1.4% increase from 2024. On a national level, gas production rose by 2.1% to reach 51.5 billion cubic meters. Nationwide oil production totaled 27.7 million tons in 2025. SOCAR exported 16.1 million tons of oil to international markets, encompassing oil produced directly by the company and the profit oil shares from international consortia operating within Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, national natural gas exports amounted to 25.2 billion cubic meters, and domestic consumption was recorded at 13.2 billion cubic meters. The decrease in domestic gas consumption by 3.1% was attributed to the growing contribution of renewable energy sources to the national electricity grid.
In the downstream sector, SOCAR processed over 6.2 million tons of oil and more than 3 billion cubic meters of gas in 2025. Oil processing increased by 7.2% compared to the previous year. Furthermore, 2.2 million tons of oil, petrochemical, and gas-chemical products were exported from SOCAR's facilities in Azerbaijan to international markets.
