SOCAR Hosts Roundtable with Young Media During Baku Climate Action Week

Baku: A roundtable with the participation of young media representatives was held at SOCAR's initiative as part of the Baku Climate Action Week. Speaking at the event, Aygun Huseynova, SOCAR Executive Director for Communications, emphasized Azerbaijan's active role in shaping the global climate agenda through initiatives that bolster international cooperation. She highlighted the significance of Baku Climate Action Week as an essential platform for these efforts.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Huseynova discussed SOCAR's Energy Dialogue Platform initiative, which aims to create an environment for open and continuous discussions among stakeholders. She also shared details about a series of information sessions held for media representatives this year as part of the initiative.

Nigar Arpadarai, a Member of the Milli Majlis and COP29 Climate High-Level Champion, underscored the achievements of COP29, hosted by Azerbaijan, on the global climate agenda. She pointed out that Baku Climate Action Week serves as a continuous platform to carry forward the conference's legacy and stressed the essential role of media in conveying the commitments made during COP29 and the ongoing processes of Baku Climate Action Week to the public.

Leyla Hasanova, COP29 Youth Climate Champion, remarked on the increasing interest of young people in Baku Climate Action Week, noting that the event has become a crucial platform for encouraging active youth participation in the climate agenda. She highlighted the importance of fostering innovative ideas and supporting the future development of young people.

The roundtable concluded with discussions and a question-and-answer session, allowing media representatives to engage directly with the topics at hand.
