SOFAZ Sells 22.1 Tons of Gold in Q1, Reserves Decline

Baku: The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan sold 22.1 tons of gold in the first quarter of this year, reducing its gold reserves to 178.1 tons.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, as of April 1 this year, gold accounted for 35.6% ($26.1 billion) of SOFAZ's investment portfolio. This highlights a significant portion of the fund's investments still being tied to gold despite the recent sale.
