Baku: The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) reported a significant increase in its total investment portfolio, reaching 73 billion 539.7 million US dollars as of January 1, 2026.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 38.2% of SOFAZ's investment portfolio is allocated to gold, while bonds and money market instruments make up 29.8%, stocks constitute 25.6%, and real estate accounts for 6.4%.
As of the start of this year, the distribution of SOFAZ's investment portfolio showed that 25.9% was concentrated in Europe, 23.9% in North America, 8% in Asia, 1.4% in the Middle East, 0.9% in Australia, and 0.1% in South America.
The total investment portfolio of SOFAZ experienced an increase of 22.5%, equivalent to 13 billion 510.2 million US dollars, compared to the beginning of the previous year.
