Kupiansk:A 58-year-old man from Lankaran, who had participated in the Russia-Ukraine conflict as a doctor, has been killed in a drone strike.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Vahab Ramazan oglu Guliyev, born in 1968 in Separadi village, Lankaran district, was serving in his professional capacity after being called up by Ukraine one year after the war started. He had been wounded twice during his service, received treatment, and returned to his duties. Recently, he was killed by a Russian UAV strike while performing his duties in the Kupiansk direction.
Vahab Guliyev began his medical education in Ukraine in 1986 and later received the academic degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences after defending his dissertation in Moscow. He is the son of Khanimbaji Guliyeva, a member of the 'Grandmothers' folklore club. Guliyev had lived in Ukraine for over 30 years, and efforts are underway to repatriate his body to Azerbaijan.
