Baku: Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has emphasized that over the past 30 years, relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia have elevated to the level of a strategic partnership. Gafarova highlighted the significance of this partnership during a briefing with her Croatian counterpart, Gordan Jandrokovic, noting the successful development of bilateral relations across various sectors.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Gafarova suggested that friendship groups operating between the parliaments of the two countries could further enhance these relations. She proposed increasing reciprocal visits among group members and expanding cooperation on global parliamentary platforms. Gafarova pointed out that inter-committee exchanges could be particularly beneficial in the fields of economy, energy, transport, entrepreneurship, education, and culture.
Gafarova also mentioned Azerbaijan’s role in exporting gas to 10 European countries, including eight European Union member states, among which Croatia is one. She reiterated the main objective of bringing the peoples of Azerbaijan and Croatia even closer and enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
