Khankendi: The restoration process in the liberated territories is being carried out based on a unified master plan, said Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, during his speech at the 3rd Azerbaijan National Urban Forum held in Khankendi, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Emin Huseynov emphasized that the restoration and reconstruction work in the liberated territories is guided by a unified master plan. He expressed pride in witnessing the developments over the last five years and being part of the restoration process in Karabakh.

Huseynov highlighted that the 2,700 square kilometer area encompassing the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts is the most actively restored segment of the 13,600 square kilometers of liberated lands. He outlined that the restoration process is structured into five stages: master planning, demining, infrastructure development, construction of socio-economic facilities, and the Great Return. All these steps are executed simultaneously, with a focus on territorial equality, applying the same concept across all regions.

The Special Representative further noted that Aghdam is set to become the largest city in the liberated territories and the fourth largest city in Azerbaijan. It is projected that the city will accommodate 100,000 residents, while Fuzuli will host 50,000 people. Huseynov mentioned that master plans for both cities were developed with international experts and cover plans extending to 2040.
