Baku: The President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, has extended sincere good wishes and warm felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of their National Day. The message also conveyed the goodwill of the Sri Lankan Government and its people.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Dissanayake expressed satisfaction with the expanding mutual friendship and cooperation between Sri Lanka and Azerbaijan. He emphasized the belief that the existing bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations will continue to strengthen and consolidate in the coming years, benefiting both countries.

President Dissanayake also took the opportunity to wish the Azerbaijani President good health, happiness, and success. He extended his wishes for peace, progress, and prosperity to the people of Azerbaijan. The message concluded with assurances of the highest consideration from the Sri Lankan leader.
