Baku: The State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population disbursed 752 million manats in benefits and monthly presidential stipends to 997,000 individuals between January and April this year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population reported that 424 million manats were paid as benefits from the state budget to 501,000 recipients, while 272 million manats were allocated as presidential stipends to 407,000 individuals. Additionally, 56 million manats were distributed as benefits through social insurance to 89,000 people.
The statement highlighted a 16 percent increase in the amount paid for state budget-funded benefits and a 17 percent increase in stipends compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, during the January-April period, 52,000 benefit and stipend assignments were carried out proactively via the e-system. Since the introduction of the electronic assignment of social payments in 2019, a total of 931,000 benefit and stipend assignments have been implemented through the e-system.
