Baku: Employees of the embassies of Sweden and the Czech Republic have been evacuated from Iran through the border with Azerbaijan, APA's southern bureau reports. The evacuation took place via the Astara State Border Checkpoint, a significant transit point for individuals moving between Iran and Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the individuals involved in this evacuation include one employee from Sweden's embassy in Iran and two employees from the Czech embassy. The authorities coordinated their safe passage to the Azerbaijani side, ensuring their immediate safety and onward travel arrangements.

It has been reported that following their evacuation to Azerbaijan, the embassy staff will continue their journey, departing from Baku to Trkiye. The reasons for this evacuation have not been detailed in the report, but the swift action indicates a coordinated effort between the involved countries to ensure the safety of their diplomatic personnel.
