Baku: Six foreign nationals were detained by the State Border Service while attempting to cross the Azerbaijan-Georgia border illegally, as reported by the State Border Service's Press Center to APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the individuals were apprehended within the service area of the 'Zagatala' Border Detachment of the State Border Service's Border Troops. The detained individuals are citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria: Oliver Osagie Iguare, born in 1980; Adesoji Austin Ogungbure, born in 1986; Olamilekan Sunday Akinniyi, born in 1992; Moshood Adekunle Adele, born in 1994; Tamarasinla Gloria King, born in 1997; and Oluvafemi Moses Ajala, born in 1998. Their attempted illegal crossing from Azerbaijan to Georgia was thwarted through operational and military measures.
The State Border Service has stated that operational-investigative measures concerning the incident are ongoing, indicating that further details and developments may emerge as the investigation progresses.
