State Committee Chairman Highlights ‘Green’ and ‘Smart’ Initiatives in Arkadag City

Baku: The idea of creating the city of Arkadag in Turkmenistan was proposed by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan, said during the Leaders' Session organized within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Deryageldi Orazov emphasized that the city's master plan has been developed with careful consideration of the natural features of the area, including its climatic conditions, wind directions, seismic conditions, and engineering infrastructure. The concepts of a safe, 'green' and 'smart city' are being actively implemented in Arkadag city. This includes the establishment of video surveillance systems, a unified '123' emergency service system, and inclusive solutions for individuals with visual and hearing impairments.

Orazov further highlighted the role of a charity foundation operating within Arkadag city, which is engaged in humanitarian missions and extends its collaboration with a variety of international organizations. A notable feature of the city is the Child Health and Rehabilitation Center, dedicated to children requiring special care. The center is equipped to facilitate the rehabilitation and societal integration of children with disabilities.

He also noted that the city is embracing alternative energy sources, water recycling, electric transport, and greening initiatives. Additionally, efforts are being made to develop a medical cluster in Arkadag city, which will encompass enterprises focused on producing medical products.
