According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this astronomical event signifies the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere and the onset of winter in the Southern Hemisphere. During this time, the smallest angle between the Earth's rotational axis and the Sun's direction will occur, resulting in the Sun reaching its highest annual point in the sky. In Baku, the Sun will achieve its maximum altitude above the horizon at 73.1° at noon.

This day will feature the longest daylight period and the shortest night of the year. Specifically, daylight will extend for 15 hours, 3 minutes, and 24 seconds, while the night will be 8 hours, 56 minutes, and 36 seconds long.

The summer season will continue for a total of 93 days, 15 hours, 40 minutes, and 42 seconds.
