Baku: A delegation from the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan has conducted a financial audit of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the 2025 fiscal year. The audit aligns with the outcomes of bilateral meetings and reciprocal visits between the Supreme Audit Institutions of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan scheduled for 2024-2025.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the primary objective of the audit was to assess the compliance of the Chamber of Accounts' financial reports with international accounting standards and national legislative requirements. The audit process included a preliminary analysis of the legal framework and financial documentation, an assessment of the internal control system, and a review of the completeness and reliability of financial reports.
The Kazakh delegation also conducted interviews with responsible staff members of the Azerbaijani Chamber of Accounts to verify procedural accuracy. The audit aims to ensure that financial reporting practices adhere to established regulations and standards, fostering transparency and accountability in financial management.
