Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov received Tobias Lorentzson, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Azerbaijan, marking the conclusion of the ambassador's diplomatic mission in the country. This significant meeting took place on June 18, as shared by the Foreign Ministry with APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions during the meeting revolved around the ongoing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Sweden, covering areas such as political dialogue, economy, trade, humanitarian affairs, and education. Both parties underscored the need for further development in bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of maintaining mutual visits and contacts to strengthen ties.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed his satisfaction with the evolution of relations between Azerbaijan and Sweden. He extended his gratitude to Ambassador Tobias Lorentzson for his efforts and contributions towards enhancing these relations during his tenure. The minister also wished the ambassador success in his future endeavors.
The meeting also served as a platform for exchanging views on the regional situation, including the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, as well as reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in the post-conflict period. Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed. Ambassador Tobias Lorentzson conveyed his appreciation for the support he received during his service in Azerbaijan.
