Syrian MFA: Iran’s Drone Attacks on Azerbaijan Threaten Stability

Damascus: Syria has condemned Iran's drone attacks on Azerbaijan, Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, APA reports. 'The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns Iran's targeting of the Republic of Trkiye and the Republic of Azerbaijan with ballistic missiles and drones. We consider these actions a clear violation of state sovereignty and a threat to international security and stability. Syria expresses full solidarity with Trkiye and Azerbaijan and calls on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities to preserve regional peace and security,' the Syrian MFA said.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, today drone attacks have been carried out on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. One drone struck the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, while another fell near a school building in the village of Shakarabad. The airport building was damaged and four people were injured.
