Beijing: The Government of Tajikistan and the Government of China have signed a landmark agreement on international road transportation, marking a significant development in their bilateral relations. This agreement was formalized in the presence of officials from both countries, signifying a commitment to enhancing connectivity and cooperation.

According to Trend News Agency, the agreement was part of a broader set of seven supplementary instruments finalized in Beijing. These instruments cover a range of domains aimed at strengthening the collaboration between Tajikistan and China. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Global Security Initiative was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, indicating a focus on security cooperation.

Further agreements included an MoU between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan and the China International Development Cooperation Agency, which aims to bolster human resource development. In the industrial sector, the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Natural Resources of China agreed to cooperate in mining and new technologies.

The digital economy is set to benefit from an MoU between the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of Tajikistan and the National Data Administration of China. Environmental cooperation is also on the agenda, with the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of Tajikistan and the National Development and Reform Commission of China signing an MoU.

In the realm of statistical analysis, the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan and the National Bureau of Statistics of China have agreed on a framework for cooperation. Cultural exchange is also being promoted through a Memorandum of Understanding between the T. Sattorov Tajik National Conservatory and the Tianjin Conservatory of Music in China.

These agreements are expected to strengthen the partnership between Tajikistan and China in various sectors, including security, economy, industry, environment, statistics, and cultural exchange.
