Baku: Azerbaijan is set to host the 17th International Music Festival in honor of the esteemed composer and founder of Azerbaijani professional music, Uzeyir Hajibayli. The festival will commence on September 18, as announced by the Ministry of Culture.

According to Trend News Agency, the event is organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, with support from the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and ICESCO. The festival will run until September 28, featuring a wide array of cultural activities.

The festival’s events will take place in several cities, including Baku, Sumgayit, Shusha, Ganja, Aghjabadi, Nakhchivan, and Gazakh, offering a diverse program of concerts, performances, exhibitions, scientific symposiums, and master classes.

In addition to Azerbaijani performers, the festival will welcome prominent musicians and musicologists from countries such as Trkiye, the United States, Germany, France, Switzerland, and Korea, showcasing a global celebration of music and culture.
