The Institute of Education held the opening ceremony of the third phase of the “Cyber Security” training project.
This was reported to AZERTAC by the Institute of Education. It was noted that the event was opened by the director of the institute Rufat Azizov, who said that at a time of digitalization, the problems of cyber attacks in our country and in the world are growing and the work done in the field of cyber security is becoming increasingly important. He noted that for this reason, the participation of students in such training projects encourages them to focus on current and future professions. At the same time, training specialists in the field of cyber security will accelerate the flow of relevant global companies to our country.
Sabina Babayeva, head of the National Qualifications Department for Lifelong Learning at the Institute of Education, coordinator of the Cyber Security training project, said the main goal of the project was to increase the level of information security in Azerbaijan, train specialists in this field and support the information society and cyber security community.
Our compatriots Parvin Sadigov and Miragshin Abutalibov, who study abroad and specialize in cyber security, spoke as trainers at the online event.
Parvin Sadigov holds a PhD in software testing and security from King’s College London. Another trainer, Miragshin Abutalibov, is a master’s student in software and system security at Oxford University.
