Baku: The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the research and analysis division of The Economist Group, has revised its inflation forecast for Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports. EIU projects that Azerbaijan's average annual inflation will remain below 5% during the period from 2025 to 2027.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, The Economist anticipates inflation rates in Azerbaijan to be 4.5% in 2025, 4.6% in 2026, and 4.7% in 2027. These figures align with the target range set by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, which aims for a rate of 4±2%.
Furthermore, the draft budget for 2026 forecasts average annual inflation in Azerbaijan at 5.4% for the current year, decreasing to 4.8% in 2026, 4.5% in 2027, 4.3% in 2028, and 4.2% in 2029. It is noted that in 2024, Azerbaijan's average annual inflation rate stood at 2.2%.
