On July 8, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Nuriyev met with visiting EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varheli.

AZERTAG reports that the European Union and the successful development of cooperation in various fields between Azerbaijan and noted that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner of the European Union said.

The sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation between the European Union and Azerbaijan in the fields of transport, green energy, digital technologies, science, education and others. It was noted that the European Union is ready to support Azerbaijan in demining, restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories.

Noting the importance of the TAP project, it was noted that Azerbaijan played an important role in ensuring the energy security of the European Union.
