The House-Museum of People’s Artist Tahir Salahov Set for Renovation with Baku Steel Company Support

Baku: Baku Steel Company CJSC (BSC) and the Administration of the Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the renovation and digitalization of the House-Museum of People's Artist Tahir Salahov, as reported by APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the memorandum was signed by Rufat Mahmud, Chairman of the Board of the Administration of the Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve, and Kamal Ibrahimov, General Director of BSC. The project aims to update the exhibition spaces, technical infrastructure, and memorial areas of the house-museum to meet current museum standards. The primary goal is to preserve the artistic legacy of Tahir Salahov, present it to a broader audience, and create an interactive museum experience.

During the signing ceremony, Rufat Mahmud highlighted the significance of Tahir Salahov in Azerbaijani culture. He stressed the importance of modernizing the museum to safeguard the artist's legacy and make it accessible to more people. Kamal Ibrahimov also remarked on Salahov's role in promoting Azerbaijani art internationally and the significance of preserving his legacy for future generations. He stated that BSC's support for this initiative aligns with its commitment to corporate social responsibility, focusing on the preservation and promotion of national and cultural values.
