Baku: A tractor hit a landmine in Azerbaijan's liberated Aghdam district, leaving the driver injured, Interior Ministry, Prosecutor General's Office and Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) issued a joint statement on the incident, APA reports. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the incident occurred in the territory of Chamanli Sarijali village, in an area that had not yet been cleared of mines. The tractor was being driven by Elmdar Khan Sariyev, born in 1972 and a resident of Shotlanli village in the Aghjabadi district. He sustained injuries as a result of the explosion. The Aghdam District Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident. ANAMA, the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor General's Office once again urged citizens to comply with safety regulations, pay close attention to mine warning signs, avoid touching suspicious objects and refrain from entering unfamiliar or uncleared areas.
