Baku: 'Trading Economics' (TE) has updated its economic growth forecast for Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports. The international economic statistics portal has adjusted its projections for Azerbaijan's economic growth across various quarters of 2026.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, TE has lowered its forecast for Azerbaijan's economic growth in the first quarter of 2026 from 3.7% to 1.8%. Meanwhile, the forecast for the second quarter remains unchanged at 3%. However, the projection for the third quarter has been reduced from 3% to 2.6%.
For the final quarter of 2026, TE anticipates Azerbaijan's economy to grow by 2.4%. This revised forecast comes in the wake of the State Statistical Committee's announcement that Azerbaijan's economy experienced a growth of 1.7% in January of this year.
