Treasury Account Management Yields AZN 120 Million for State Budget

Baku: Treasury account revenues have successfully brought in AZN 120 million to the state budget this year. In an effort to better manage state budget funds and generate additional revenue, the active management of the unified treasury account balance began in April 2025.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this initiative was discussed at a collegium meeting of the Ministry of Finance. It was highlighted that the strategy involves placing funds in the national currency as deposits in local banks and calculating interest income in US dollars based on an agreement with the Central Bank. From April to December, these efforts resulted in a total of 119.4 million manat being added to the state budget. This includes 98.6 million manat from deposits in commercial banks and 20.8 million manat from the balance of the correspondent account in US dollars at the Central Bank.
