Trkiye, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to Prepare Roadmap for Enhanced Cooperation

Ankara: Trkiye, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan are set to develop a ‘Roadmap’ to enhance cooperation, focusing on strengthening trade routes and energy connectivity. This announcement was made by Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Trkiye, during the opening ceremony of the second trilateral meeting held in Ankara.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Fidan highlighted the significance of the current geopolitical landscape, stating that recent supply chain disruptions and regional conflicts have positioned Trkiye, the South Caucasus, and the Middle Corridor as key trade routes. He pointed out that the ongoing energy crisis has elevated the geostrategic importance of the South Caucasus and Central Asia, positioning Trkiye as a pivotal energy hub.

The forthcoming ‘Roadmap’ will focus on enhancing cooperation among the three nations, building upon the outcomes of the recent trilateral discussions. Fidan underscored the value of these meetings as a platform for advancing projects that aim to bolster transport and energy connectivity across Turkestan, the South Caucasus, and Anatolia.
