Trkiye Reports Annual Inflation Drop to Just Below 52 Percent


ANKARA — Trkiye’s annual inflation rate has fallen to 51.97% in August, marking a significant decrease from the previous month’s rate of 61.78%, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the sectors most affected include education and housing, with year-over-year price increases of 120.81% and 101.49%, respectively. In contrast, transportation and clothing and footwear experienced the smallest price growth, with annual rises of 28.96% and 29.38%. Consumer prices overall rose by 2.47% on a monthly basis in August, with education costs notably increasing by 11.34%.
