Baku: 'We aim to turn COP31 from discussion into action,' Trkiye's Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and designated President of COP31, Murat Kurum, stated during a panel discussion titled 'Beyond Negotiations: The Struggle to Keep COP Alive' at the XIII Baku Global Forum.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kurum highlighted the commitment to reinforce decisions made at previous COP conferences and focus on their practical implementation. He noted that Trkiye, bordered by seas on three sides, will use the conference to spotlight global attention on the cleanliness and protection of seas and lakes.
Kurum further stressed the importance of raising public awareness about combating climate change and achieving the outlined objectives.
