Trump Invites Azerbaijan to Join International Initiative for Middle East Peace

Baku: President Donald Trump has extended an invitation to Azerbaijan to join a significant international effort aimed at establishing peace in the Middle East. In a letter addressed to President Ilham Aliyev, Trump outlined the role Azerbaijan could play in the ambitious project to resolve global conflicts.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the initiative, announced by Trump on September 29th, 2025, is called the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict. This 20-point roadmap has been widely accepted by world leaders, including major figures from the Arab World, Israel, and Europe. The United Nations Security Council expressed its support by adopting Resolution 2803, endorsing the plan.

Central to the initiative is the creation of "The Board of Peace," an international organization and transitional governing body. Trump envisions this board as a historic assembly of nations dedicated to building lasting peace. He has invited Azerbaijan to join as a Founding Member State, allowing it to participate in shaping the future of this initiative. The invitation includes the opportunity for Azerbaijan to sign and ratify the Board's Charter, which is a key element of this global endeavor.

In his letter, Trump emphasized the noble responsibility of the participating nations to lead by example and invest in a secure and prosperous future. He expressed his anticipation of working with Azerbaijan and other partners to achieve enduring peace, prosperity, and greatness for all involved parties.
