Turkic Investment Fund and Kyrgyz Republic Sign Memorandum for Investment Cooperation

Bishkek: The Turkic Investment Fund (TIF) and the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (NIA) have formalized their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing investment promotion and facilitation in the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the signing ceremony took place in Bishkek between Ramil Babayev, General Director of TIF, and Ravshanbek Azatovich Sabirov, Head of the NIA, during the 'Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan: Industrial Cooperation, Investment and Trade' business forum. This agreement marks a significant step towards bolstering economic ties and fostering sustainable development in the region.

The MoU outlines that the NIA will assist TIF in pinpointing and executing investment projects within the Kyrgyz Republic. Concurrently, TIF is dedicated to mobilizing financial resources, facilitating cross-border investments, and backing projects that support economic integration and sustainable growth, particularly focusing on the Kyrgyz Republic.

The collaboration will concentrate on the joint identification of projects, facilitating investor access to opportunities in the Kyrgyz Republic, and exchanging information to support TIF's regional investment strategy.

Ramil Babayev emphasized the strategic importance of the Kyrgyz Republic for TIF, expressing the fund's commitment to developing a robust pipeline of high-quality investment projects in the country. He highlighted that the partnership with the NIA will enable TIF to identify and structure opportunities effectively, thereby mobilizing long-term funding to transform promising prospects into meaningful investments.

Both TIF and NIA have agreed to maintain close communication to review the MoU's implementation and progress concrete investment opportunities in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Turkic Investment Fund, established by the Turkic states, is the first dedicated international financial institution focusing on economic cooperation, intra-regional trade, and sustainable development within the Turkic world. With an authorized capital of 600 million USD, TIF aims to facilitate impactful investments, foster innovative solutions, and promote regional integration aligned with the grand vision of the Turkic states.
