Turkic States Enhance Healthcare Collaboration at Bishkek Meeting

Bishkek:Azerbaijan's Minister of Health Teymur Musayev participated in the 6th meeting of the Ministers of Health of the Organization of Turkic States OTS) held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting was attended by ministers and high-level health officials from OTS member states, along with Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS. The Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Damirbek Osmonov, highlighted the importance of strengthening healthcare cooperation among OTS member and observer states.

Minister Teymur Musayev emphasized the need for expanded cooperation among the Turkic states, focusing on digital solutions and improved information exchange. The ministers also discussed advancing healthcare collaboration as outlined in the Turkic World Vision - 2040 document and the OTS Strategy for 2022-2026.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a Joint Declaration and the approval of the Action Plan for Health Cooperation of the OTS for 2026-2027. This plan aims to consolidate existing cooperation mechanisms into a comprehensive framework, enhancing implementation monitoring and concentrating efforts on tangible outcomes. The ministers expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic for hosting the event and agreed to conduct the 7th meeting in T¼rkiye.
